Calling All Undergraduate Student Entrepreneurs,
Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO) Cape Town is hosting, for the very first time, the regional Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (www.gsea.org) on 26 February 2016. Qualifying applicants will have the opportunity to present their businesses to a panel of experienced local entrepreneurs and have a shot at winning the South African regional competition. The local winner will receive an all expense paid trip to the Global Finals in Bangkok in May 2016 as well as a host of local prizes.
Do you want your business to be recognized at an international awards competition? Would you be interested in winning local prizes of R100,000 in business support services and a year of mentoring by a recognized local entrepreneur? Would you be interested in pitching your business against 50 international undergraduate entrepreneurs on a global stage in Bangkok in May 2016? Would you be interested in a once in a lifetime experience and international prizes of over R300,000? If you answer yes to these questions and qualify for the following:
- 1.You must be an undergraduate (bachelors) student at a recognized university or college for the current academic year and enrolled in school at the time of application.
- 2.You must be the owner, founder or controlling shareholder of your company and principally responsible for its operation.
- 3.Your business must be structured 'for-profit' and have generated R7,000 or received R14,000 in investments at the time of application.
- 4.Your company must have been in business for at least the past six consecutive months.
- 5.You should not have been one of the top six finalists from any previous year's GSEA Global Finals Competition.*

All undergraduate entrepreneurs who are registered in the 2015/2016 academic year and who meet the qualification requirements above may enter. Entries close 12 February 2016,
